One Sunday afternoon I was hanging out, holding service in Oasis waiting for a friend and around 4:00 pst I get a tell from Hottoq asking if I want to join this Fire Giant Assault. Well, never having done this I debate and ponder, and am finally convinced to go.
At approximately 5:00 we all start gathering at the drudic circle in Lavastorm (sorry no pic).
I hear calls for this and that, but seem to not be getting a group despite a personal invite by one of the runners of the assault.
At approximately 5:30 I'm grouped. A little while later the leader has to leave world for whatever reason. Somehow I seem to be without a group now.
At about 6:00 everyone seems to have moved out without me (maybe it was my spending 5 min to go out to start / make dinner I missed something).
After much convincing it seems this child of Innoruuk was somehow left behind without a group. I fume and shout and am told a few times to be grouped by x, or y, but never seem to get invites or directions. I take it upon myself to wander through this dungeon I have been in all of 3 times now to find the group of 100 or so people in the assault.
Much to my amazement I find the group, and thank Innoruuk.
It seems Hottoq and Faequen are coordinating the assault (both Amber Order) and giving orders / what could be considered tactics. Berenski is pulling or leading the room assaults. At about 6:00 pst, the assault had begun. After each stage the two are sure everyone has been rezed and recovered for the next phase of the assault. Any special loot is rolled by all in the assault and only by those who could use the item. |

Shortly after were graced by an appearance of the lovely GM Sal'varae. To what end were not sure. The GMs said they could not spawn the dragon for us, but she charged ahead of the group, and a reportedly very rare spawn did occur. Maybe she planted the special thing on the Fire Giant *shrug* Her role was not revealed to me by her or by petition. |

Oooh pretty. A bridge here on the way to the dragon. Guess who was blamed for pushing the bridge lever repeatedly. Though only one fell in to their death. Yup you guessed it. The not grouped child of Innoruuk. Though yes, upset by being left behind, upset by not having a group, admitedly tempted to pull the lever and plumet people to their death, I did not. Pic 2 - Smile everyone. (If there was another true DE cleric in the assault, this would be him in the purple). |

Summary / Solution / Truth
Fun. I think all involved, even those who died had fun. Event time 6:00 - 8:20 pst, not counting about 1 hr gathering time.
Hottoq and Faeqen did their best to be sure all were rezed before each segment, all of a class rolled when we got a special thing, and all were treated pretty fairly.
Accept the (one true?) dark elf cleric, who was left without a group, much as Innoruuk himself was left out. At least my wrath had focus as I got all the glory for one of the FG kills (amazing in a group of 100 to get the exp for a kill when soloing).
PS- Yes Hottoq, despite the only one exp, despite the 10 g I got from loot. I did have fun. Though I find it endlessly ironic the only one not grouped who the leaders knew about was a true DE Cleric.
